Nani starrer V is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on September 5. The makers of the Telugu action thriller made the announcement today through social media handles. Directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and produced by Dil Raju, the film also stars Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jagapathi Babu, Nassar, Vennela Kishore and Srinivas Avasarala.

Along with the announcement, Nani also shared a note for his fans that read, “To my fans, well wishers and extended family here. These are not regular times and this is not going to be a regular experience. My 25th is special and now it will be even more for so many reasons. Let’s make it a memorable one. Let’s celebrate this September 5th. These 12 years you came to the theaters for me and it’s time I come home and say thank you! I will be as excited and nervous to hear from you all on the release day. Ps: When theaters open, Tuck Jagadish will take over. Promise!”
V follows the life of a cop who falls in love with a crime writer. Things take a turn when a killer challenges him with a puzzle to solve. Will he take up the challenge or give in to the killer, is what forms the plot.
V is Nani’s 25th film. It will also be the first time the actor will be seen playing a negative role. The movie was previously slated for a March release. But it got postponed due to the spread of coronavirus.
In a statement, Nani further shared his love for action thrillers. He said, “V is one such title that delivers thrills, drama and fast-paced action. The cat-and-mouse game between Sudheer Babu’s and my character is what drew me the most to this project. I am very excited about the Global Premiere of V – the movie marks my 25th in the film industry. Interestingly, the movie makes its global premiere on the same day as my debut movie release – 5th September!”
Producer Dil Raju added, “V is an action-packed thriller with none other than Nani in the lead along with the talented cast Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari, and we are certain that the story will cut across geographies and will be enjoyed by all audiences.”
