Would Shahrukh Khan appear on latest Koffee With Karan season?

When the curtain raisers for 'Koffee With Karan' for the fourth season were being aired, one was expecting that the show would open with Shahrukh Khan. But Karan Johar being a contrarian brought in Salman Khan as his first guest and the show was a total sellout, manifest from the fact that it has been viewed more number of times on the video sharing platform than by those who watched it live when it was broadcast the first time.After the initial broadcast, shows that have been aired include chit-chat with Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, as also a show with Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, but still there is no Shahukh Khan. For the fans of cinema, who have watched the bonhomie that used to exist between Shah Rukh Khan and Karan
Johar would be amused with this development.
Shah Rukh Khan has been the life of the 'Koffee With Karan' shows that have been aired so far and for the uninitiated or those who may not have watched the earlier episodes, the chit chats over the cup of coffee on this show have veneered to hitherto untouched areas in a public discourse and have created quite a cheeky responses from the public as well. As a matter of fact the audacity with which Karan Johar now asks questions to the fans, like the issue of sex and virginity that he had discussed with Salman Khan could be attributed to the confidence that he might have got discussing these issues with his erstwhile bosom pal Shah Rukh Khan.

Should the absence of Shahrukh Khan be seen as something fishy or is there a deliberate marketing ploy to it? This maxim is being put forward as Shahrukh Khan was seen the other night for announcement of new season of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' which would be hosted by Rohit Shetty. Shahrukh Khan has rarely been seen on such occasions but it is Rohit Shetty who gave him this new image by deconstructing his suave urban lover boy image, so he made it a point to be there. The moot point seems to be that the alignments have changed.

Even then, Koffee With Karan would not be the same without Shahrukh Khan and who knows he could again grace the occasion in the last episode of this season and bring down the audience with his wit and chemistry with Karan Johar as he has done it in the past.
