Rana Daggubati Excited About Trilingual ‘Baahubali’

Telugu star Rana Daggubati says he has begun shooting director S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali,” which will be made not only in Telugu and Tamil but also in Hindi.

The 28-year-old actor, who has worked in Bollywood films like “Dum Maro Dum” and “Department” and was last seen in a guest appearance in Ayan Mukerji’s “Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani,” will share the screen with Prabhas and Anushka Shetty in “Baahubali.”

“I am quite happy that I am part of this mega period film, helmed by Rajamouli sir, who is planning to take things to a stratospheric level,” Daggubati said.

Rajamouli shot to fame in Bollywood with his much talked about film “Eega,” which was dubbed in Hindi as “Makkhi.”

The director’s Telugu films like “Maryada Ramanna” and “Vikramarkudu” have been remade in Bollywood as “Son of Sardaar,” starring Ajay Devgn, and “Rowdy Rathore” with Akshay Kumar in the lead, respectively.

“Baahubali” is expected to hit theaters in 2015.
